The fact that it is the main entrance door to the island for the majority of visitors (unless you travel in private boats and decide to stay in another part of the island) has contributed to make La Savina a small village with all tourist services concentrated there (rent a car offices, tourist information, bars, restaurants, hotels and supermarkets).
A visit of the port can be interesting, also for the luxury yatchs docked there in summer. From La Savina boats leave several times a day to Espalmador island and there are also boats to hire. Even if you decide to stay in other parts of the island, a relaxed walk around La Savina is definitely a good idea. You can walk to Estany des Peix or to Illetes.
